Preincarnated History:
Mia's existence is a little complicated, to say the least. In her earliest iteration, she was a character called Macha, who was Data Drained and rebuilt as the character I'm actually playing; she's experienced reincarnation in a form already. While her life as Macha isn't readily accessible when she's Mia, she has vague memories of the past that flow over, including a love of the item called Aromatic Grass and a fondness for a player that resembles her previous ward, Tsukasa.
Here is a wiki page with more thorough information on Mia, but I'll summarize it thusly:
Mia appeared with Elk at her side and met Kite. While she doesn't question anything about herself or her own existence, she constantly prods Kite with questions and quotations, and is endlessly curious about his progression through The World as Kite is attempting to save those who have fallen into a coma. Mia acts relatively uninvolved, however, she is one of the forces that Kite ends up having to fight. As the Sixth Phase ("Macha the Temptress"), the data that composes "Mia", the AI's personality and 'soul', starts falling away in favor of the Macha program. When it's finally time for Macha to fight Kite in the progression of The Wave, "Mia" is nearly completely lost. Kite Data Drains Macha, and what's left of Mia lingers long enough to bid farewell to her friends before it disperses into The World.
In the "True End" of QUARANTINE, Kite and Elk embark on a very difficult task in a deep dungeon to find Mia. They see Macha (of SIGN, the cat with the clown-like face paint), but Elk insists that it's Mia. Going to the depths of the dungeon, they defeat and Data Drain monsters holding the cat captive, and Mia is reformed. It's revealed that Aura took the scattered pieces and filled in some of the missing parts to complete Mia's code. She has no memories involving the events of the games, not recognizing Kite but certainly recognizing Elk, and she continues to exist up until The World's data is destroyed by a fire in the company. (In reality, Mia was torn apart as the data for Macha was ripped out of her by someone within CC Corp, later to be used in The World R:2)

Reincarnated History:
Mia had a very uneventful life, compared to most other reincarnated humans. But she grew up as a young cat, coddled and played with in her kitten years and given a name (Mia) until she got too big and too rowdy and was turned out to the streets. Already a little coy by cat standards, Mia kept herself alive and healthy by finding the right people to beg from and the right ones to steal from. She got herself in trouble a few times, and inevitably had things thrown at her and had been chased, but the cocky cat had no fear of people and would quickly beg and brush up against the next old lady or school girl to beg for food. Her routine remained as such until she had the encounter that was her First Echo.
First Echo:
Mia's first Echo was triggered by another character (cleared with the player): Ryou Misaki AKA "Haseo" stopped to play with her briefly. Without thinking about it, he played with her with a fuzzy piece of grass (foxtail grass, which resembles Aromatic Grass) and "gave" it to her as a gift. The moment was powerful, and brought forth the fuzziest inclinations of emotions. A connection to that grass, and to the gesture, triggered her first Echo effect: she regained her sentience/intelligence, including the ability to communicate (speak, read, write).
Preincarnation Personality:
The best way to describe Mia, with her previous incarnation in mind, is "fragmented". She has been chopped up and put back together, and not exactly seamlessly. As Morganna's Sixth Phase, she is under the AI's thumb. But unlike her previous self, she remains unaware of this control, and holds only the faintest hint of memories from her past. This makes it much easier for Morganna to take control of Mia, who remains unsuspecting of the AI and perhaps even unaware of her existence. She is a puppet, mostly, her whole self fading away gradually when Morganna makes use of her. And yet, despite this, she is rich with personality, and is a very strong AI. So much so that after her death, The World and its "goddess" Aura see fit to restore her. Even without Morganna corrupting her, however, Mia is still incredibly fragmented. She has very few memories, though despite being rewritten and rebuilt so many times she does not seem to care. She simply "is", and finding a better answer than that is not an interesting enough question to bait her curiosity.
Mia is surprisingly sociable, where most AIs are quite reclusive and not well-designed enough to hold a conversation with a human being, and extends her reach out a bit further than she did as the clown-cat Macha. She talks to other players, though it's usually to those who catch her interest and curiosity. She finds great amusement in frustrating, exasperating, and otherwise trolling other players, giving them corrupted items and manipulating their character data just to annoy them. She'll fixate on targets, like Piros, who provide the most entertaining reactions. Though she says she cannot rationalize this behavior, it's still very clear that she enjoys causing a little mischief and exploring people's varied responses. And when she's curious, she becomes quite pushy. She'll get her nose up in everyone's business, ignoring any sense of personal boundaries in order to ask the questions she wishes to ask and investigate the point of her curiosity. "Look, don't touch" is simply not acceptable; she has to grab it, look at it, and hold it close, even if said thing is along the lines of a bracelet, and she ends up yanking around someone's attached hand.
Despite these rather intrusive and rude habits of hers, she's astonishingly polite and good with words. She appears to be very helpful to others, so long as she's taken an interest in what they're doing. She draws knowledge that she should not know, and it is implied that she herself doesn't know where it comes from. But, again, it is not worth the curiosity to try and learn such things, when there are people to talk to. When all is said and done, Mia is the mysterious yet helpful guide, the veritable Cheshire Cat that will lead you in the correct direction via the most risky path.

Any differences:
With her life up until her first Echo being that of a normal cat, Mia will be remarkably strange with her newfound sentience. With many of the same traits that she had before, she will be sly and curious, and will enjoy playing pranks. But she will have no pool of prior knowledge aside from communication skills (a sudden understanding of how to read and write, to go with her human intelligence) and thus, will have to make references to whatever she can find in her current form instead of alluding to secrets of The World.
Mia was overly fond of pulling references out in conversations, and dodging questions with overly flowery poems or citations; the Mia of Save The Earth doesn't have quite the firm understanding of how to be ~2spooky~ or dodge questions. The disregard she has towards the feelings of others is twofold, now that she lacks subtlety quite distinctly. But unlike her distant, cold former self, who found herself incredibly detached from the "human" userbase in The World... Mia is simply a happy, friendly cat that likes positive attention. After all, humans have given her affection, food, shelter, and good health. Even if she had a rough patch, she's extremely fond of them and thoroughly invested in helping them, both for the sake of helping out and for the sake of looking out for herself. Though still quite selfish, Mia is of the mind that if everyone contributes, everyone wins; and nothing is for free. Even a meal won by purring cutely and rubbing against someone's leg is a meal that had a price.

Abilities:
Data Manipulation; Mia formerly had access, as an AI within The World, to create corrupted and otherwise playful hacked items and give them to other players. She also knows how to hack through security gates to access hidden or locked areas.
She also had the standard Blademaster Class abilities and features. Other pieces of equipment in The World (of which she can wear anything) have a myriad of other powers, mostly the standards of a video game - charm, paralysis, poison, stat boosts or drops, et cetera. If these are brought into the game, I will expand on an explanation of their capabilities.
She might conceivably regain the form and powers of The Temptress, but I did not plan on doing this in Save The Earth. If the setting changes to suit it more, I will elaborate in any Echo requests at that time.

Roleplay Sample – Third Person:
The world was so much fuller now. It was as though something long lost was regained. Colors were brighter, smells had deeper meaning, and there was reason. Reason, rationale, foresight - merciful existence, foresight and understanding and predicting consequences to actions - all of these were granted so suddenly. And mere moments after being granted this wonderful gift, the boy that smelled like human food and like the grass he was playing with had wandered off. Mia looked down at the piece of grass he left (right, "Mia", the idea of a name. And the name felt so right...), and attempted to pick it up with her paw. She eventually picked it up in her mouth like prey, but carefully didn't bite down on the soft "foxtail" of the grass, not wanting to damage it. It was precious, so very precious.
But it was also important to chase after The Boy. She ran, and caught up enough; she saw him walking somewhere. Deciding that she wanted to know where (oh word, curiosity, it suddenly ached so much stronger than before), she tailed behind him without making a sound.
That was how she found out where he was living. She watched, sitting outside of the building and accepting any scraps of breakfast or leftovers from lunch as he left the place and returned hours later. She learned the routine, and she understood. He said things to her, as though she didn't understand. But the words were clear, and in her mind, easily to comprehend. As were the words that were sometimes on his clothes. And one day, when he left, knowing no better that she understood every word he said, she found her way inside. She found the way to the window, and it took little effort in figuring out how it worked and only a short time (relatively) to get it juuuust open enough to slide in. There were numbers ringing through her mind, numbers that meant something. She sniffed around the room and trotted around it, and grinned when she saw the keyboard. There were the numbers. Carefully, knowing she'd be clumsy with her paws, she typed in the number.
"Here we go," she said, human-like grin only growing as she gained access to something very interesting...

[Careful not to reveal her face, Mia's taking advantage of the chance to access communications. She could have left well enough alone, but it just feels right, in its way, to tamper in human affairs.]
So... I hear a lot of theories going around. A lot of whispers, and frightened babbling. And that many of you are simply frightened to death of the beautiful pink light, or the ravenous dogs.
It's not unlike a story, is it? We are the characters that realize what is going wrong in this world. So it falls on us to act. What sort of story should we write, then?
This is all very interesting, after all. I'm glad to have changed.
