CHARACTER
Name: Mia
Age: N/A
Canon: Project .hack
Canon Point: post .hack//UNISON
History: Dot Hack Wiki page

Personality:
The best way to describe Mia, with her previous incarnations in mind, is "fragmented". She has been chopped up and put back together, and not exactly seamlessly. As Morganna's Sixth Phase, she is under the AI's thumb. But unlike her previous self, she remains unaware of this control, and holds only the faintest hint of memories from her past. This makes it much easier for Morganna to take control of Mia, who remains unsuspecting of the AI and perhaps even unaware of her existence. She is a puppet, mostly, her whole self fading away gradually when Morganna makes use of her. And yet, despite this, she is rich with personality, and is a very strong AI. So much so that after her death, Aura sees fit to restore her. Even without Morganna, however, Mia is still incredibly fragmented. She has very few memories, and despite being rewritten and rebuilt so many times, she does not seem to care. She simply "is", and finding a better answer than that is not an interesting enough question to sate her curiosity.

Mia is surprisingly sociable, where most AIs are quite reclusive, and extends her reach out a bit further than she did as the clown-cat Macha. She talks to other players, though it's usually to those who catch her interest and curiosity. She finds great amusement in frustrating, exasperating, and otherwise trolling other players, giving them corrupted items and manipulating their character data just to annoy them. She'll fixate on targets, like Piros, who provide the most entertaining reactions. Though she says she cannot rationalize this behavior, it's still very clear that she enjoys causing a little mischief and exploring people's varied responses. And when she's curious, she becomes quite pushy. She'll get her nose up in everyone's business, ignoring any sense of personal boundaries in order to ask the questions she wishes to ask and investigate the point of her curiosity. "Look, don't touch" is simply not acceptable; she has to grab it, look at it, and hold it close, even if said thing is along the lines of a bracelet, and she ends up yanking around someone's attached hand.

Despite these rather intrusive and rude habits of hers, she's astonishingly polite and good with words. She appears to be very helpful to others, so long as she's taken an interest in what they're doing. She draws knowledge that she should not know, and it is implied that she herself doesn't know where it comes from. But, again, it is not worth the curiosity to try and learn such things, when there are people to talk to. When all is said and done, Mia is the mysterious yet helpful guide, the veritable Cheshire Cat that will lead you in the correct direction via the most risky path.

Abilities/Strengths:
She is a "Blademaster" class PC, meaning that she has basic sword skills and a little bit of magic. Information on Blademasters can be found here.

More importantly to her character, Mia is the Sixth Phase of Morganna: Macha, the Temptress. As a phase of the Epitaph, she is frighteningly powerful, holding a variety of elemental attacks, a powerful earthquake, a charm attack, and most ferociously, Data Drain. Data Drain does a huge chunk of damage, but more importantly, saps away the strength of its target. In The World, such an attack often puts the player behind the Data Drained character into a coma.

Weaknesses:
Stat-wise, she's not a very strong character. She's well-rounded, but doesn't have a great well of strength in general.

Mia has absolutely no control of her behavior once she becomes Macha. Macha often rampages, attacking everything around her. Macha is destroyed by Data Drain (the only way to destroy her) in the games before she can get out of hand.

ARCANARUM
Story: Alice in Wonderland
Story Character: The Cheshire Cat
Plans:
She would perfectly suit the role of the Cheshire Cat, being as mysterious and perhaps even more impish. Perhaps, in those times where the Cheshire begins to take over, she could be used to hint towards plot solutions. She likely will never actively participate in any plots, only dropping hints and clues and riddles. Appearance-wise, she might start slowly getting some tabby stripes as she becomes more 'cheshire'.

Third Person:
Routines are an interesting sort of boring thing. Some people get up early, and go to bed early. Some people are out all day long finding something to do, and others are hiding away as much as possible. Some travel together, some travel with others. But however unique their habits, they did the same thing, nearly every single day. It was interesting, to learn these habits, but boring to see them a second time.

Mia was not the type to keep to such a routine. It wasn't interesting, after all, to be too predictable even to herself. There was something different to explore, always, no matter how small it was. Mia had no proper schedule, even for sleep. Sleep itself was a new adventure - before, when she was an AI, she had no use for sleep. And dreams... those were absolutely amazing, even if she rarely remembered them. The fact that she hardly recalled them made them all the more interesting.

There was no shortage of things to explore, in Arcanarum. Even with those who were passé, or growing bored from the lack of excitement, Mia could not find herself anything but restless. She looked on the forest... said to be dangerous, but the trees, their scent and look both, piqued her curiosity. Her tail twitched and swished with excited anticipation, and she pursed her whiskers thoughtfully.

No... maybe not yet. She'd save it for later... the moment would come. And it would be... fun.
